Stages in the making of my violin
I made my violin over a two year period under the tutelage of Patrick Jowett a professional violin maker. I used the pattern of a Guaneri violin ( Postner del Gesu 1741 ) adding the extra touch of a black and white inlay after seeing the violin collection at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford where I came across a decorated violin by Antonio Stradivari (1683).
My violin remains in the white and is as yet unfinished. |
